The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences provides foundational healthcare education while equipping students with career-ready abilities sought after by medical employers, including analytical reasoning, solution-finding, team leadership, data comprehension, and knowledge organization. Throughout the program, learners expand their understanding of medical services and products, learning to recognize, manage, and prevent both chronic and communicable illnesses, fundamental dietary principles that promote wellness, healthcare infrastructure, and health initiative development. The Health Sciences B.S. program aims to ready students for professional roles or graduate studies in medical disciplines. Offering two specialized pathways - Community Health Education and Health Policy - the curriculum features shared core classes that give graduates broad exposure to health subjects such as: illness origins, patterns, contributing factors, and protective measures; diverse healthcare frameworks; and techniques for analyzing health initiatives.
