The MS in Mathematics program enables students to specialize in diverse fields such as Mathematical Biology, Computational Mathematics, Data Science, Differential Equations, Model Theory, Operator Theory, Optimal Control, Post-Quantum Cryptography, Theoretical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, and Numerical Analysis. Our Mathematics Department maintains a strong research focus, with faculty projects supported by prestigious grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), along with Fulbright and Alfred P. Sloan Foundation fellowships.
The Mathematics Department provides Master of Science programs in three tracks: Applied Mathematics with an Industrial focus, Pure Mathematics, and Mathematics Education.
The Applied Mathematics specialization serves as a pathway to various industry careers, including opportunities in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Financial Services. Students gain hands-on experience through an industry internship and research project, collaborating with external employers to develop practical skills.
