Those pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology can specialize in athletic training, rehabilitation science, exercise science, physical education, or strength and conditioning. Athletic training concentrators gain qualifications for state licensure, though admission to UTSA's Athletic Training Apprenticeship Program is required. National certification demands graduate-level study at an accredited institution. Rehabilitation science students build foundations for healthcare careers like physical or occupational therapy, both requiring additional graduate education for professional licensure.
