UTSA offers two NASAD-accredited studio art programs for students pursuing an Art degree. If you dream of a career as a professional artist, arts educator, performer, or scholar, UTSA's studio art program provides ideal mentorship to develop your creative and contemporary skills. The BFA program combines rigorous studio work with art history and criticism studies, while the BA emphasizes foundational training, specialized studio practices, and comprehensive art history education.

Qualification Requirements

Test Scores - SAT/ACT scores are optional for admission consideration. Students who have taken the SAT or ACT are encouraged to submit their scores directly from the testing agency.
Essay - If you are to be considered for admission through holistic review, submission of essay A on ApplyTexas or any open prompt on Common App is highly encouraged.
Letters of Recommendation - If you are to be considered for admission through holistic review, two letters of recommendations are highly encouraged.
