This program enables students to acquire expertise across diverse disciplines including healthcare, community wellness, and Spanish interpretation to positively impact public health. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), healthcare employment is projected to grow by 28% by 2031, adding approximately 136,000 new positions. The Spanish and Community Health specialization offers students the adaptability to concentrate on particular interest areas, equipping them exceptionally well for various roles across different tiers of healthcare administration.
Through integrated Spanish and Community Health studies, graduates will develop the skills to facilitate medical interpretation between Spanish and English, addressing communication barriers that currently heighten misdiagnosis risks and may lead to serious health consequences.
