UTSA offers two NASAD-accredited studio art programs for students pursuing an Art degree. Whether your goal is to work as a professional artist, arts educator, performer, or scholar, UTSA's studio art program provides exceptional mentorship to cultivate your creative and modern artistic endeavors. The BFA program combines rigorous studio practice with complementary art history and critique studies, while the BA program emphasizes foundational training, specialized studio techniques, and comprehensive art historical knowledge.

The sculpture concentration encourages innovative thinking through diverse materials, techniques, and conceptual investigations. Students master traditional fabrication methods and spatial concepts while experimenting with modern materials and cross-disciplinary 3D approaches. Creative projects span woodworking, metalwork, bronze casting, textile arts, assemblage, sound pieces, performance art, and immersive installations.
