The Mathematics Bachelor's program with Teacher Certification equips students with expertise in mathematical concepts ranging from calculus to differential equations. Graduates gain qualifications for roles as math teachers, mathematicians, researchers, and engineering professionals. This program offers routes to obtain 4-8 Grade Teaching Certification, 7-12 Grade Teaching Certification, or Middle School Mathematics 4-8 Teaching Certification.
The State Board of Educator Certification authorizes UTRGV to endorse program graduates who fulfill all degree requirements for teaching credentials.

TOEFL, Duolingo or IELTS scores must be sent directly from the educational testing service. UTRGV will not accept residual TOEFL exams taken at another institution (TOEFL ITP). The minimum scores for the tests are as follow: TOEFL 61 (IBT, IBT Home or IBT Paper edition, IBT MyBest Scores), TOEFL Essentials 6.5 (Essentials, MyBest Scores), Duolingo 95, and IELTS 6.
