The Mexican American Studies Bachelor's program focuses on social justice, equipping students to engage with, support, and study their communities while navigating the intricate socio-political and historical contexts affecting Mexican American, Chicanx, and Latinx populations. This program develops future community leaders and advocates who can drive change and foster equity. Through critical analysis, students explore the socio-historical, economic, political, educational, cultural, and artistic realities and achievements of Mexican Americans, Chicana/os, and Latina/os, examining their impact on U.S. and broader American history, culture, and institutions.
