This certificate program introduces students to key concepts in national security law, intelligence operations, and risk management challenges faced by both private and public sector entities. It explores how different organizations collaborate and exchange information on security concerns. The curriculum highlights cross-border and interagency approaches to safeguarding critical infrastructure, transportation systems, immigration processes, and related areas. Ideal for learners pursuing careers in security-focused government or private sector roles, the program provides insights into intelligence networks, bureaucratic structures, and cooperative security frameworks. Participants must complete 15 credit hours of core coursework. All UTEP graduate students maintaining satisfactory academic progress may enroll in the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence and National Security Studies program.
