The high-tech sector increasingly demands comprehensive systems engineering and management education, particularly for organizations handling intricate systems, interconnected departments and workflows, and operations with substantial societal implications. The Master of Science in Systems Engineering and Management addresses two key objectives. It develops engineers into proficient leaders and business executives while equipping managers with deep expertise in both traditional and emerging technologies, as well as complex engineering initiatives.
This interdisciplinary program, offered through the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science and the Naveen Jindal School of Management, blends technical coursework with human-focused studies. Developed by renowned faculty, the curriculum imparts essential knowledge and capabilities for engineers and managers to effectively design, implement, and oversee sophisticated projects that demand diverse scientific and business expertise.
Degree requirements: A minimum of a BS in engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, economics or finance from an accredited program (specifically, programs that provide adequate fundamental skills in mathematics).
