The frequency and intensity of cyber threats and attacks continue to rise. The MS in Cyber Security, Technology and Policy equips students from both technical and non-technical backgrounds with knowledge of cybersecurity's strategic, policy, and analytical dimensions. Alongside coursework in information systems, computer science, and cognitive psychology, the program offers public policy classes covering privacy concerns, ethical considerations, data protection, and regulatory frameworks in cybersecurity.

This multidisciplinary program targets professionals who will critically examine cybersecurity challenges, technological implementations, and analytical methods through an interdisciplinary lens aligned with organizational objectives. Graduates will qualify for leadership and analytical roles across various industries, including positions as security specialists, intelligence officers, or cybersecurity managers in both government and corporate environments.

Qualification Requirements

The minimum requirement for admission to any master's degree program at UT Dallas is an earned UT Dallas baccalaureate degree or its equivalent with a grade average of B or better in upper-division (junior and senior level) work in the student's major field and related fields. Applicants who have earned a three-year baccalaureate degree are eligible to apply for admission to UT Dallas graduate programs.

Applicants in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted to a master's degree program at UT Dallas.
