The Criminology PhD program is an interdisciplinary, research-focused degree provided by UT Dallas's School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences. This doctoral program aims to equip students with a structured yet academically rigorous education, enabling them to pursue research across diverse criminology and criminal justice domains based on their specialized interests. Upon completing the PhD, graduates will be qualified for university-level teaching positions as faculty members. Additionally, they'll be prepared for analytical and leadership roles within research institutes, policy organizations, criminal justice agencies, and private sector entities.
Degree requirements: The Master of Science in Criminology seeks applicants from a baccalaureate in Criminology, Sociology, or a relevant discipline.
GPA: A score of 3.5 is preferred.

Deadlines: To be considered for funding opportunities, applications must be submitted in full by January 15. Students can apply as late as May 1, per University policy, but they will likely not be considered for funding opportunities.
