Neuroscience explores how the brain works through an interdisciplinary approach. It investigates how various neural networks interact to produce diverse cognitive abilities and control behavior across all species, including humans.
At UT Dallas, the neuroscience program lets students examine the brain from multiple angles. Starting with an introductory course, students progress to specialized studies covering cellular processes, neurophysiology, anatomy, development, pharmacology, and molecular biology. The program fosters close collaboration with neuroscience experts and hands-on training with cutting-edge lab techniques. Students also have opportunities to assist with faculty research projects in campus neuroscience laboratories.
