Specialists in child development work to enhance methods for nurturing children's cognitive and social-emotional growth. The child learning and development program examines core aspects of youth development across family, educational, peer group, and cultural environments.
This undergraduate degree offers a scientifically grounded curriculum that exposes students to developmental theories, empirical discoveries, research methodologies, and practical applications from the field. Alongside classroom instruction, the program facilitates hands-on research experiences and fieldwork placements with children, families, educational institutions, and community service organizations.
