The biology program at UT Dallas equips students for professional paths in scientific fields, healthcare, and research. It highlights the fundamental molecular and cellular principles shared by all living organisms. The undergraduate biology program concentrates on biochemical, genetic, and cellular biology principles, along with the techniques for investigating genes, cells, and living systems.
UT Dallas provides both BS and BA options in biology, plus a specialized BS in molecular biology. The BS programs are designed for those pursuing scientific careers in biology or healthcare professions. The BA degree offers a liberal arts approach to biology, requiring less calculus and allowing more flexibility for studies in other academic areas.
