The Aerospace Engineering (ASE) graduate program at The University of Texas at Austin ranks among the nation's top 10, providing students with the chance to conduct groundbreaking research alongside renowned faculty. Our curriculum enables students to pursue either a Master of Science in Engineering or a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering. Applicants typically hold a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering or a related engineering discipline. While candidates with science or mathematics backgrounds may apply, they may need to complete additional undergraduate coursework to meet program requirements.
Research specialties include composite material mechanics, fracture analysis, nano/micro-scale material behavior, biomaterials, soft materials, constitutive modeling, high-strain-rate mechanical properties, structural analysis, and stability studies.
