The MPAff dual degree program, offered in collaboration with the School of Architecture's Community and Regional Planning department, equips students for governmental and nonprofit leadership roles that demand expertise in urban planning challenges and creative policy analysis methods. This accelerated program allows students to complete both master's degrees in three years rather than four by streamlining redundant coursework in analytical subjects and elective requirements.

Three letters of recommendation are required as part of your application. We prefer one professional reference and one academic reference, while the third can be either professional or academic, depending on where you are in your career.

The Graduate School requires applicants to have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a comparable degree from a foreign academic institution.
A grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or a comparable GPA in upper-division workjunior- and senior-level coursesand in any graduate work already completed is also required.
International students also must submit TOEFL scores. We do not accept the IELTS.
