The LBJ School collaborates with the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies to provide a combined MPAff degree that merges policy analysis with comprehensive regional studies. This dual program addresses growing demands in government and business for policy experts well-versed in Latin America's political landscape, cultural heritage, geographical features, and historical context.
Students typically complete both degrees together in about three years through this integrated curriculum. Those needing additional language preparation might require an extra semester or summer term. Both degrees are conferred upon finishing all mandatory coursework for each discipline.

International students also must submit TOEFL scores. We do not accept the IELTS.
