This joint program, offered in partnership with UT's Moody College of Communication, prepares students through combined studies in communication and public affairs across four specializations: Advertising, Communication Studies, Journalism, and Radio-Television-Film. Developed to meet growing demands in both government and industry, the interdisciplinary curriculum equips future policy analysts with foundational knowledge in communication fields.
Students can complete both master's degrees within three years through this dual degree track. While offering flexibility, the recommended path involves focusing on first-year core courses from both schools during the initial two years, followed by remaining coursework and electives in the final year. Typically, students undertake their internship after completing most core requirements by the end of their second year.
