Dual degree programs are designed for students to complete two master's degrees concurrently in about three years. At the Moody College of Communication, dual M.A. options span specializations like Advertising, Communication Studies, Journalism and Media, and Radio-Television-Film. Prospective students can explore joint degree details through the Graduate School. Each dual degree candidate undergoes separate evaluations by both departments and must satisfy admission criteria for each. Acceptance into both programs is mandatory for dual degree enrollment.

Qualification Requirements

GPA: The Graduate School recommends a minimum of a 3.0 (in upper-division coursework).
Additional Program Requirements for Admission:
Letters of Reference - contact information will be submitted online as part of your application for three references.
Statement of Purpose - a short essay defining and discussing goals, intended research areas, and previous training/education/experience.
Official Resume - once your application is uploaded and acknowledged by the Graduate and International Admissions, upload your resume.
The Graduate School requires applicants to have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a comparable degree from a foreign academic institution.
A grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or a comparable GPA in upper-division workjunior- and senior-level coursesand in any graduate work already completed is also required.
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
