The Educational Policy and Planning (EPP) program develops tomorrow's scholars, researchers, and analysts committed to transforming public education for the better. The EPP Ph.D. program equips aspiring academics, policy experts, and researchers to become equity-focused, anti-racist education policy specialists.
Participants will acquire a solid grounding in educational policy theory, application, and evaluation, along with understanding the legal, cultural, and political contexts of education policy. Graduates will be ready for professional roles in higher education, research institutions, community organizations, and governmental bodies.
All applicants must have a master's degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. or proof of equivalent training at a foreign institution in education, the social sciences, or related field.
The minimum scores considered acceptable for admission by the Graduate School are:
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
