The College of Liberal Arts provides a Bachelor of Arts program specializing in Anthropology. Students explore the field through foundational courses covering sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology, and linguistic studies. They later select specialized electives aligned with their academic and professional aspirations. Anthropology examines humanity—it's the comparative analysis of our species. Given humanity's vast diversity, anthropologists investigate the full scope of human existence throughout history and geography to answer essential questions about our nature and origins.
The program encourages students to pursue internships that align with their anthropological interests while finding faculty mentors. Internships coordinated through the Anthropology Department require an application, with selections based on merit and applicable background. Credit-bearing internships must receive approval from the Department's Undergraduate Advisor.
