This program enables students to enhance their comprehensive Physics education by selecting a minor in a relevant engineering field, blending theoretical knowledge of fundamental physical principles with practical, specialized insights from the College of Engineering. This dual focus provides an advantage for careers in engineering-related fields commonly pursued by Physics graduates. Students are also motivated to engage in faculty-supervised research projects, either for academic credit or compensation. Through this opportunity, undergraduates can acquire practical experience across diverse research areas such as astrophysics, biophysics, computational physics, high energy physics, medical physics, optics, space physics, and both theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics.
