The Mathematics Department provides undergraduate programs culminating in either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. The Bachelor of Science program allows students to specialize through optional concentrations in actuarial science, applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics, data science, or secondary education certification.
The Secondary Teaching Certification track within the Mathematics B.S. program prepares future educators for middle and high school mathematics instruction. Certification is available through UTA's UTeach Arlington initiative, and prospective candidates should consult with the UTeach Arlington academic advisor for guidance.
