The Department of Curriculum and Instruction aims to train and assist skilled educators capable of addressing students' varied learning requirements, emotional growth, and individual development. Faculty actively enhance education by producing and sharing impactful research, creating forward-thinking initiatives to fulfill educational demands, and delivering valuable professional services. The Elementary Education Program equips future educators with the skills needed for successful teaching in early childhood through sixth grade classrooms. Additionally, it offers elementary teaching candidates techniques for instructing English language learners. This campus-based, two-year program includes classes covering developmental psychology, educational principles, and teaching approaches for core subjects. Academic studies are directly connected with practical classroom experiences and teaching internships at affiliated elementary schools.
