The University of Texas at Arlington's music program is quickly establishing itself among North Texas's premier offerings. With the recent addition of a Master of Music degree and Performance Certificate, we've broadened pathways for career advancement in the field. Under the direction of acclaimed performers, our String Area is witnessing remarkable expansion. Our string faculty dedicates itself to delivering exceptional one-on-one mentorship for students aspiring to professional music careers.

Beyond private lessons, students at all levels can participate in orchestral and chamber music performances. The flagship UTA Symphony Orchestra stages an annual concert series featuring masterworks from the classical canon. While most members are music majors, we welcome students from other disciplines. The chamber music program offers additional performance avenues, with small groups studying repertoire for string trios, quartets, quintets, and mixed ensembles incorporating piano, brass, and woodwind instruments.
