UTA's painting program equips students for professional artistic careers. We foster diverse conceptual and material explorations where painting traditions are both honored and reimagined. Our inclusive environment prioritizes contemporary painting practices in today's world. The UTA painting studio serves as an energetic hub where students develop and perfect their abilities through intensive technical training and practical application.
Learners enjoy comprehensive facilities including a complete wood shop; a fabrication lab with 3D printers, CNC routers, laser cutters, plus large-format printing and scanning equipment; bright studios stocked with painting supplies and easels; and an expansive area for critiques.
