The BA in Spanish for Global Competence equips students with essential and advanced language abilities by exploring Spanish and its rich literary traditions, cultural expressions, and linguistic variations across Spanish-speaking communities. This program caters to both language learners and heritage speakers who were raised in Spanish-speaking environments. Our forward-thinking approach combines hands-on language instruction with upper-level studies in literature, culture, and linguistics, fostering multilingualism and cross-cultural understanding. Beyond language proficiency, students develop crucial capabilities in analytical reasoning, effective communication, and creative problem-solving.
