The Master of Cytopathology Practice (MCP) program's curriculum equips students with essential skills to become proficient histotechnologists and cytotechnologists. They'll learn to process tissue and cytology samples for microscopic examination while accurately assessing various cytological specimens. Program graduates will gain expertise in conducting, analyzing, and correlating supplementary tests to appropriately guide patient care. These professionals will be equipped to handle contemporary industry requirements while adapting to emerging laboratory technologies. Additionally, they'll develop quality control competencies to oversee improvement initiatives and take on leadership roles in administration, research, and teaching. Upon completion, graduates become eligible to take both the cytotechnologist and histotechnologist certification exams administered by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification.
