The Leadership Academy provides a rigorous 15-month leadership development program leading to a Specialist in Education degree focused on Education. This advanced program is tailored for educators who already hold a master's degree in the field. Participants (known as Fellows) commit to a Monday-Thursday schedule for immersive internship experiences guided by school mentors (typically principals). Friday sessions deliver coursework to fulfill certification requirements and develop essential leadership competencies for aspiring school administrators.

Qualification Requirements
A completed online application must be received by both the Office of Graduate Admissions and the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, educational administration program.
A grade point average (GPA) of 2.70 or higher for undergraduate work or GPA 3.20 or higher for prior graduate coursework is required.
Applicants to the Specialist in Education degree program must possess teacher or school-related licensure, have three years teaching experience or experience working in schools, and must interview with an admission committee.
Candidates for the educational administration major must possess leadership potential preferably demonstrated by previous leadership experience. Three rating forms must be provided with recommendations from three present or former employers that identify a candidate's strengths, weaknesses, and leadership potential.
Minimum score requirements for admission to the Graduate School are:
a total score of 80 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT),
a total score of 550 or equivalent on the paper-based TOEFL (PBT), or
a 6.5 overall band score on the IELTS.
