The DNP: Nursing specialization program typically requires at least 36 credit hours for post-master's students. Under the guidance of a faculty chair and committee, each student will create and execute an evidence-based Translational Project aimed at addressing a critical healthcare challenge. Additionally, students must fulfill extra clinical obligations to achieve the required 1,000 post-baccalaureate training hours - a hallmark of DNP education. Those entering with a master's degree may count up to 500 previously completed clinical hours toward this 1,000-hour requirement.
