Students can select from an extensive range of courses spanning diverse areas of computer science, computer engineering, and related disciplines. To fulfill degree requirements, students must satisfy the department's design, depth, and breadth criteria through their course selections. Consulting with academic advisors to plan a suitable program is strongly recommended. The department mandates a minimum grade of C in all computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematics courses counting toward undergraduate degrees.
Advancement to upper-division programs within the department is competitive, contingent upon available capacity. Selection criteria encompass overall GPA, performance in lower-division required courses within both the department and Tickle College of Engineering, as well as demonstrated commitment to the program. This commitment is evidenced by consistent, timely progress through the curriculum without excessive withdrawals or course repeats.
