The economics program equips students to utilize fundamental managerial and macroeconomic theories to address modern economic and business challenges. Learners can select from several pathways: a standard track (27 economics credit hours), a combined approach (pairing economics with finance, math, or statistics), or specialized focuses in business analytics, international business, or the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering program. Course offerings, including electives in the traditional track, explore diverse areas such as industrial organization, public finance, and specialized economic fields spanning international, quantitative, monetary, urban, environmental, labor, and health economics. Graduates enter careers across business sectors, consulting, government agencies, and various other industries. This foundation also prepares students for advanced studies in economics, business administration, public policy, and legal education. Those aiming for economics graduate programs are advised to choose the quantitative economics and mathematics combined option.
