The Herbert College of Agriculture offers an Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Exploratory Program for students considering multiple majors within the College. This program enables participants to investigate different major possibilities while fulfilling general education requirements. Exploratory students must consult with their advisor each semester. Those enrolled in Herbert's exploratory program should adhere to the Discovery Herbert guidelines. Full-time degree-seeking students who began in Fall 2013 or later must declare a major by their fourth tracking semester. Transfer students admitted as exploratory must choose a major by their first tracking semester's conclusion.

To apply for admission as an undergraduate student, each international student is required to provide the following:
A completed application for undergraduate admission.
Complete one required essay chosen from one of seven prompts.
Optional: Submit recommendation letters (academic, professional, or personal) and a Personal Statement.
