The Bachelor of Arts (BA) program caters to students seeking a comprehensive liberal arts education with a focus on art. Compared to the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in studio art, the BA curriculum includes more general education classes and fewer studio-based courses. Students following this track complete 45 credit hours in studio art and art history studies, exploring diverse media while dedicating approximately one-third of their degree to art-related subjects. The BA option is popular among students wishing to combine art studies with another major, providing the flexibility to explore varied interests, career options, and opportunities for semester-long study abroad programs. Our School of Art provides both BA and BFA degrees specializing in 2D art, with a mission to prepare emerging artists to influence culture as working professionals, teachers, or creative practitioners. Our alumni frequently gain admission to top-tier graduate programs nationwide.
