The four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program caters to students without prior nursing college credits. Both high school graduates and transfer applicants must initially submit their applications through the standard UT undergraduate admissions process. Admission to the nursing department occurs after completing or nearing completion of all prerequisite coursework. Graduation requires 125 credit hours, comprising 59 in general education and 66 in nursing courses. UT nursing students consistently exceed state and national averages for first-time pass rates on the NCLEX, the mandatory licensing exam for nurses. Over the last five years, UT has maintained an impressive 95% NCLEX pass rate, outperforming both state and national averages.
