The increasing significance of investments and the expanding intricacy of financial services have heightened the need for skilled finance professionals. At the University of Tampa, finance students gain expertise in money management across diverse fields including investments, corporate finance, global financial management, and financial markets.
The finance curriculum provides comprehensive business education through classes in accounting, statistical analysis, information systems, economics, marketing, and management. These are complemented by modern coursework in financial strategy, investment principles, banking systems, and global finance.
Graduates with finance degrees are equipped for roles in retail banking, investment management, financial advisory services, corporate sectors, and public institutions. UT's Finance program also serves as excellent groundwork for pursuing CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certifications.
Participants can engage with the Bailey Student Investment Fund, which began with a $100,000 seed investment overseen by students enrolled in the Applied Investment Management class (FIN 415). The program additionally offers Bloomberg certification opportunities.
