Doctoral candidates have two distinct pathways to choose from. The first is the future faculty track, ideal for those aiming to teach at colleges or universities, while the second is the scholar-practitioner track. Those on the scholar-practitioner path must complete a dissertation featuring three (3) components, including a dissertation-in-practice (DiP). This approach maintains academic rigor while adapting to practical applications and audience relevance. Meanwhile, future faculty candidates also produce three (3) artifacts, but these take the form of journal articles suitable for peer-reviewed or practitioner publications. This structure helps aspiring faculty develop their research focus while fostering leadership skills in education. Students will collaborate with their advisors to select the most suitable option. Tailored for educational leaders pursuing an Ed.D. without licensure requirements, this program offers flexible online and Hyflex (online/in-person) delivery. Participants will explore real-world challenges, craft literature reviews blending academic and professional insights, and adopt a methodological approach.
