Pursuing a kinesiology and sport management degree at USD provides practical, hands-on training for careers involving human movement or athletics. You'll choose between two focused paths: exercise science or sport management. The exercise science track is ideal for students aiming for graduate programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, athletic training, or chiropractic care, as well as careers in health, wellness, or fitness training. The sport management specialization readies you for careers in the sports industry, ranging from community leagues to professional organizations. Regardless of your chosen path, you'll learn from distinguished faculty with national recognition and extensive professional networks. The program includes a 12-week internship, giving you crucial industry experience that distinguishes you post-graduation.
This major prepares you for professional opportunities or advanced studies in sports business or human movement science. By specializing in either exercise science or sport management, you can tailor your education to align with your personal interests and career aspirations.
International students who have officially completed secondary school (high school) in either the United States or their home country may apply for undergraduate admission. High school (secondary school) transcript with grade point average equivalent to 2.6 on a 4.0 scale.
English Language Requirements:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 71 or higher (iBT), 530 or higher (paper test), IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - 6.0 or higher, Cambridge International Examinations English subject O-Level with B or higher, English subject A-Level with C or higher; International Baccalaureate (IB) - IB English A (4 or higher) or IB English B (6 or higher).
