A Bachelor of Science program offers comprehensive training in core physics disciplines, including classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum theory. This academic track provides customization options, enabling students to shape their curriculum according to individual preferences through specialized lab courses or by developing research projects with faculty guidance.

Graduates frequently continue their education in advanced physics programs or launch careers in physics and space science. The physics major also serves as excellent preparation for interdisciplinary scientific fields, making it a popular option for combined degrees. Additionally, the program equips students with the necessary qualifications for professional graduate programs in fields like healthcare and legal studies. By carefully choosing elective courses, undergraduates can also meet the requirements for USC's educator preparation program, which culminates in a graduate degree and teaching credentials.
