The baccalaureate program spans eight semesters, combining general education with nursing specialization. From enrollment, each student receives an academic advisor to assist with program planning. Early course selection consultation is strongly recommended.
To earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, students must complete at least 120 credit hours, divided between core curriculum, electives, and nursing coursework. All foundational courses must be finished before advancing to upper-level classes, which follow a strict sequence detailed in the Undergraduate Student Handbook.
The advanced curriculum emphasizes hands-on clinical training and demands full-time commitment. Classroom instruction complements clinical rotations, which occur across diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, long-term care centers, outpatient clinics, educational institutions, and community organizations.
Digital literacy is essential across all program levels. Necessary technical competencies encompass: document creation, interactive learning software, electronic communication, online research, database navigation, digital patient records, and operating computerized medical devices.
