Every profession and academic discipline benefits from individuals skilled in logical reasoning and clear communication. Philosophy students develop the ability to tackle intricate issues, evaluate underlying reasoning, challenge presuppositions, appreciate diverse perspectives, and devise innovative solutions. These competencies make philosophy graduates highly valued across various sectors including legal, medical, and corporate fields, as well as creative arts, liberal arts, historical studies, and social sciences.
Our philosophy department provides a Bachelor of Arts program, with an option for students to earn Leadership Distinction by engaging in extracurricular activities like advocacy work, professional development, community involvement, internships, and academic research.
Statistics show philosophy students consistently achieve higher scores than most majors on standardized tests like the GRE, LSAT, and GMAT, making it an excellent primary or complementary field for graduate studies. Philosophy graduates also demonstrate exceptional success in gaining admission to advanced programs including medical, law, and business schools, as well as master's and doctoral degree programs.
