Students pursuing a B.A. in Art with a Studio and Digital Art specialization gain comprehensive practical experience, expanding on fundamental 2D, 3D, and digital design concepts introduced in the Foundation Core. The advanced curriculum blends traditional and digital coursework, emphasizing professional readiness through industry-standard tools, techniques, and software. Studio and Digital Art students enhance their career readiness by undertaking an optional guided internship (ARTS A549) and completing a required capstone project (ARTS A499). Prior to graduation, students showcase their work in the B.A. in Art Capstone Exhibition at the Etherredge Center Galleries, refine their physical and digital portfolios, and develop job application materials. Customized course options are offered for those pursuing K-12 art education, including pathways for teaching certification. Alumni have secured positions at prominent organizations such as Health South Corporation, Pixar, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, and the Savannah River Site (SRS), along with other regional and national employers featured in our internship and employment listings. Many graduates work in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina's public and private school systems, while others pursue advanced degrees for further specialization.
