Students pursuing a B.A. in Art with a Graphic Design focus gain comprehensive, practical instruction that expands on the 2D, 3D, and digital design fundamentals taught in the Foundation Core. Through beginner and intermediate graphic design classes, learners refine both aesthetic and conceptual abilities by working on real-world client projects. Upper-level coursework further explores areas like branding/marketing, publication layout, web interface coding, digital illustration, animated graphics, packaging solutions, typography (including historical, avant-garde, and conventional applications), and user experience/interface design. The program provides access to both traditional and digital workspaces equipped with professional-grade design software.
