The Master of Public Health (MPH) program in the Department of Public Health Sciences is a 43-credit hybrid/online curriculum accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). For decades, our MPH program has equipped diverse public health practitioners with the expertise to recognize, address, and resolve community health challenges.
Our program leverages its distinctive position within a top-tier School of Medicine, benefiting from clinical research facilities and interdisciplinary faculty. Faculty research spans multiple domains such as behavioral science, environmental health, global health initiatives, health policy analysis, maternal-child wellness, clinical decision-making, nutritional science, and gerontology. The MPH attracts students from varied academic and professional backgrounds, fostering an educational atmosphere that promotes creative scholarship, meaningful discourse, inclusivity, and holistic growth. Graduates emerge ready for impactful careers in public health practice, medical research, private sector roles, government service, and nonprofit organizations.
The MPH Program offers two delivery options: fully online or a hybrid online/on-campus format. Both modalities can be completed remotely without campus attendance requirements.
The Online MPH format is conducted entirely virtually with no campus obligations, making it particularly suitable for international students seeking a fully remote degree pathway.
The Hybrid Online/On-Campus MPH format also operates completely online by default, but provides flexibility for students who may opt for in-person components during their capstone project or when selecting two elective courses from our on-campus offerings.
Our CEPH-accredited Master of Public Health is a 43-credit program with a proven history of developing skilled public health professionals capable of addressing complex community health issues through prevention and intervention strategies.
