The University of Rochester's Department of Art and Art History (AAH) provides undergraduate degree options, including majors, minors, and concentrations in art history, visual studies, and studio art. Students can pursue internships at Rochester's vibrant cultural venues or join the Art New York internship program in NYC.
Our department hosts the renowned visual and cultural studies (VCS) graduate program, awarding an interdisciplinary PhD. Graduate candidates spend four years on campus, engaging in seminars, academic events, and assisting with undergraduate instruction.
Internship Opportunities
Art history and studio art students benefit from hands-on internship experiences with artworks and art institutions.
