With over 500 million Spanish speakers globally, including those who learn it as an additional language, Spanish has grown remarkably widespread. In fact, the United States now has more Spanish speakers than Spain itself.
Choosing Spanish as a dual major proves both valuable and pragmatic, with strong demand across diverse sectors like healthcare, social services, commerce, legal fields, public administration, technology, engineering, and nonprofit organizations.
Our Spanish program alumni have pursued advanced studies in various disciplines including legal studies, medical school, MBA programs, Spanish education, translation, public health, film production, and historical research. Many now work in global commerce, government agencies, NGOs, and community healthcare initiatives.
