The University of Rochester's Mathematics Department focuses on research while dedicating itself to training future mathematicians, scientists, and engineers for thriving careers across various sectors.
Undergraduate offerings feature a combined BA in mathematics and statistics, mathematics minor options, specialized certificates in actuarial studies and mathematical modeling for political science/economics, plus a collaborative master's program with the Warner School of Education.
Our undergraduate curriculum is designed to equip emerging mathematicians, engineers, and scientists with the skills needed for professional success. Mathematics majors can now more easily pursue a Philosophy minor through specially designated courses that count toward both disciplines, requiring just three extra classes to complete this complementary academic path.
