This 12-credit graduate certificate program is designed for educators, librarians, and media specialists seeking to master digital literacy skills. The Graduate Certificate in Digital Literacy equips professionals with essential competencies for today's digital world. Participants will develop expertise in utilizing, producing, and distributing digital content and technologies. True digital literacy means actively engaging with our evolving read/write culture through proficient use of these tools.
Traditional notions of literacy are being redefined in our digital age. Modern literacy requires abilities to effectively find, evaluate, produce, and utilize digital content across all life domains - from education and careers to personal life and civic engagement in our democratic society.

Qualification Requirements
Before you apply to a URI graduate program, you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the United States or the equivalent of a four-year degree at an international university that is evaluated by an approved agency.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in the undergraduate career that can be confirmed with official transcripts from the institution (some programs may require a higher or lower GPA).
TOEFL iBT - An overall score of 80 or above
Reading: 19 ,Writing: 18, Listening: 17, Speaking: 18
The minimum score on the Paper-based TOEFL is 550.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): All scores must be sent directly to URI. Required minimum score of 6.5, AND minimum scores in the following areas:
Reading: 6.5, Writing: 6.5, Listening: 6.5, Speaking: 6.5
Duolingo English Test: Required minimum score of 105
