Bachelor's Degree
The Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences program embodies the Department's philosophy that all aspiring biologists, no matter their specialization, gain from a solid foundation in fundamental biology subfields along with essential mathematics, chemistry, and physics coursework.
Following an initial year of Introductory Biology (which Advanced Placement credit may fulfill), students select four core biology classes and can enroll in biology electives once they complete prerequisites. This adaptable curriculum enables students to concentrate on plant or animal biology, as well as focus on specific areas like ecology, physiology, evolution, behavior, or cellular and developmental biology.
